Baseball

A (League Age 5-6 / Tees & Coach Pitch)

This division is pure instructional baseball and is meant as an introduction to Little League. This is a non-competitive program open to boys and girls. Players will learn basic baseball fundamentals of throwing, catching and hitting. Games are 4 innings or 80 minutes. Every player bats and plays in the field each inning. Players bat from either a tee or by coach pitch. Scores, wins and losses are not kept.

Division Description:

Time Commitment:

One 60-90 min practice (any day other than Saturday) and one game each Saturday

How teams are assembled:

The division commissioner assembles teams, ideally of 10 players but up to 12, based on several factors, including practice night availability and diversity of schools. We try to keep pre-arranged coaching staffs to a maximum of 3 to avoid coaches from building their own team. Aside from declaring conflicts for 1-2 practice nights, we don't allow for parent or coach requests and avoid having a team with too many players from one school. The commissioner works to balance the teams as best as possible.
