New Batting Helmet Policy
Posted 11/5/2019

Beginning in the upcoming spring season, CHLL will no longer provide team batting helmets for players in AA, AAA, Majors, Juniors and Softball. This change in equipment policy is being made for safety and health reasons. A batter’s helmet should fit snugly all

around, with no space between the pads and the athlete’s head. Ensuring proper fit with our one-size fits all helmets is something we struggle with, so in an effort to ensure each player is protected we will require each player aged 7+ to bring their own helmet.  Review the CDC fact sheet, “GET A HEADS UP ON Batter’s Helmet Safety” to learn about proper sizing and care of batting helmets. View a variety of options if you are looking to purchase a new batting helmet.
