Capitol Hill Little League is excited to announce that we are starting a Challenger Division this Spring!
What is CHLL's Challenger Division?
The Challenger Division is an adaptive baseball opportunity open to children ages 4-18 who have intellectual, physical, social-emotional or developmental needs who have not been able to join a CHLL team before. The Division will meet once per weekend for 1 1/2 hours to play games in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
In addition to the players, the Challenger Division works with the help of Buddies, who can be siblings, community members, and/or CHLL players in other divisions. Buddies must be 9 years or older, and be willing to help a player with batting, running between bases, and/or fielding. Buddies will only be helping players in regards to baseball as needed, they will not be responsible for any adaptive or medical needs of the player.
The new CHLL Challenger Division will ensure that every child is given the opportunity to participate in and learn about baseball. This non-competitive Division provides opportunities for socialization among peers of various ages, participation on a team, and learning about teamwork and sportsmanship.
Please take the survey below to let us know whether you and your child would be interested in participating in the Challenger Division as a player or as a Buddy. If you have other families you know in the Capitol Hill area who are not part of CHLL that would be interested, please forward this email to them.
Take the CHALLENGER SURVEY
We will send along more details about the Challenger Division once we have completed the survey of Capitol Hill. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email Katie Holloran (email@example.com).
Thanks for helping make our Challenger Division a success and let’s play ball!
